1. Chest Measure the full circumference with a measuring tape around the widest part of the chest, passing over the fullest points of the chest and shoulder blades.
The tape should be strictly horizontal, fitting snugly but not tight.
The child should stand straight with arms relaxed at the sides.
2. Waist Measure the full circumference at the narrowest part of the torso, usually slightly above the navel.
The tape should be horizontal and not tight.
The child stands straight without pulling in the stomach.
3. Hips Measure the full circumference around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks.
Feet should be together, body straight.
The measuring tape must remain horizontal.
4. Waist heightMeasure vertically from the highest point of the shoulder at the base of the neck
down to the waistline.
The child should stand straight without slouching.
5. Sleeve lengthMeasure from the shoulder point (where the shoulder meets the arm),
along the arm slightly bent at the elbow,
to the desired sleeve length (usually to the wrist).
6. Skirt lengthMeasure vertically from the waistline downward
to the desired length
(knee length, below the knee, midi, etc.).
7. HeightMeasure from the top of the head to the floor.
The child should stand straight, barefoot, with heels together and back straight.
Recommendations:- Measurements should be taken over thin underwear
- Use a soft measuring tape
